… Just about the most wonderful love story ever filmed!

The Best Years Of Our Lives" (William Wyler, 1946).
Starring David Niven and Teresa Wright as two star-crossed lovers whose relationship was never meant to be, ENCHANTMENT is a fascinating study in how family fortunes can take a strange, yet familiar, twist over the years. Niven plays Rollo, whose younger days saw him wooing Lark (Wright), but coming unstuck when faced with his spiteful older sister, who kept the pair apart. A considerable time passes, and Rollo finds that his niece and Lark's nephew are caught up in the throes of a blossoming romance. But with the demands of war threatening to tear the lovers apart, Rollo fears history may be about to repeat itself. Can he keep another couple from losing their chance at happiness? A taut, absorbing drama from 1948, Niven and Wright are at the top of their game throughout.
